A new Walking Dead game has been announced by Activision that will re-envision Robert Kirkman’s zombie series as a first-person action game for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
The game is being developed by Terminal Reality, the studio behind the 2009 Ghostbusters game, IGN has reported.
This alternate take on the franchise casts players as Daryl Dixon and his outlandishly racist brother Merle as they go on a “haunting, unforgiving quest to make their way to the supposed safety of Atlanta.”

Activision really are an unimaginative lot. It’s not even funny anymore.
Just do yourself favour and buy Telltale’s excellent take on the franchise. It’s only £3.99 an episode.

Terminal Reality’s last title was Star Wars Kinect.
That’s all I have to say.
“I’M HAN SOLO, I’M HAN SOLO, I’M HAN SOLO, I’M HAN SOLOOOOOO”
Is all I have to add.
The Walking Dead is all about the story, emotions and characters.
It takes a realistic approach to an unrealistic scenario and due to the believable way it’s delivered, it works.
The Telltale games are a prime example of how to get it right.
I’ve just completed episode 2 and it was brilliant.
I guarantee this Activision published one will be a mindless shooter. It’ll sell millions.
Additionally: If anyone actually did want an zombie apocalypse FPS that “gets it right”, I hear good things about DayZ.
Ah yes, the ARMA 2 mod. Yep, supposed to be pretty smart.
That DayZ mod looks like the best fucking game ever! I so wish I had the money to make a PC powerful enough to play it.
I’ve been watching youtube videos of the thing and it looks crazy good.
