Sega have opted to use the graphics processor from an old Nokia mobile phone to power their latest offering: Love Arcade
It seems to be a collection of four mini games. One of which appears to feature Power Ranger-esque characters pointing at fences.
This kind of thing is is sure to save Sega and the entire arcade industry.









I can kind of see SOME logic in going retro – with graphics getting better and better/more and more realistic*, there’ll reach a point where people will go “Why bother, looks just the same as that other game/movie/thing”, so they may as well try to attract people who want to PLAY A GAME, rather than ‘experience’ something. At something stupid like 2 quid a pop.
THIS, however, looks like utter shit. Not retro. Just shit.
And they’ll probably still have the bare-faced cheek to try and charge a quid or two a go.
*Realistic isn’t necessarily better, I know.
