More Classic Model 2/Sega Saturn titles are on the way:
on October 9th, 2012 at 12:53 pmThis man has sleuthed the age-classification information for Fighting Vipers, Virtua Fighter 2 & Sonic the Fighters for Xbox Live so it looks like they’re going to be released soon.
No word on a PSN/PC release but as Sega are DESPERATE these days, I expect they’ll be spunked out on everything soon, including devices that render them unplayable, like the ipad.

They are all Model 2 games – surely they’d be porting/emulating the originals instead of the inferior Saturn conversions?
You’d hope so, but it is SEGA we’re talking about here.
Fighting Vipers and Virtua Fighter 2?
I’d buy into that, but something tells me they’ll fuck it all up.
How much of a pain in the ass the Saturn has been to work with I consider this a victory.
I suspect all 3 games will be the model 2 ports.
Virtua Fighter 2′s original Arcade model 2 emulation is built into Yakuza 5: http://www.the-magicbox.com/1210/game121010c.shtml
I expect FV & sonic Fighers will be the arcade versions too.
Here’s hoping we get more Model 2 games.
I think they’ve done good jobs with Daytona, VF5 FS, JSR etc. it’s what people have been moaning on at SEGA to release. With a digital “strategy” they’ll be doing loads of these and getting them on loads of devices.
Crazy Taxi on iPad? I would have told you to fuck right off, but it’s good. And I can’t believe I’m saying that.
The digital download version of VF5 was just a re-working of the (already great) existing code from the physically released version.
Daytona and Jet Set were good ports though.
Nights wasn’t, so hopefully the other conversions won’t be like the latter.
